Bedford Hospital car parks pass assessment to retain safer parking status

Bedford Hospital has retained the Park Mark award for its car parks under the national Safer Parking Scheme.

The parking facilities, managed by APCOA Parking (UK) have all met the requirements of a risk assessment conducted by the police.
The assessment covers, amongst other criteria, the management of the car parks, crime recording and statistics, vehicular and pedestrian access and provision of lighting and signage. These are the main criteria that create a safe environment.  For customers using a Park Mark Safer Parking facility it means they can have confidence that the car park has been vetted by the police.

The management and staff at Bedford Hospital are committed to providing safe, secure facilities and services to all our patients and visitors. The award is testament to an ongoing commitment to provide quality standards at the hospital.”

This demonstrates our commitment to providing and maintaining safe and clean car parks throughout the Bedford Hospital site. Since our introduction in July, APCOA in partnership with the Trust has introduced various initiatives such as Pay By Phone, Upgraded Pay & Display machines to facilitate several methods of payment and ANPR technology alongside an electronic staff permit portal, all to enhance the end user parking experience.”
